Where to Find the Fountain in No Rest for the Wicked?
If you're on the hunt for the fountain where the tipsy guard hangs out in the Of Rats and Raiders questline, make your way to the northeast corner of Sacrament, tucked away in the lower part of town. Starting from the two guards at the gallows who spill the beans about the drunk guard’s location, backtrack to the jail cells.
Take a right, then descend the stairs to the town circle where the War Room, the builder, and the woman preaching under the statue are. Instead of heading back up to the market square and the fast travel spot, continue past the War Room door and take the stairwell on the left side of the circle.
Turn left at the bottom of the stairs, then follow the path downward to the fountain, visible in the distance. You'll find the drunk, snoozing guard at the base of the fountain, clutching the key you need. Beyond the fountain lie gates to other areas of the map that you'll unlock later in the game. Once you've nabbed the key, retrace your steps to unlock the prisoner’s cage and advance the Of Rats and Raiders quest.

No Rest for the Wicked be a game of action and adventure, made by Moon Studios and put out by Private Division. It's set in the year 841, and you get to play as a holy warrior. Your mission? You gotta journey to the island of Isola Sacra to find out what's up with a sickness called the "Pestilence". This game first came out for folks using Microsoft Windows in April 2024. But don't fret if you don't have that; they're planning to release the full game for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S soon!
Gameplay
"In 'No Rest for the Wicked,' players assume control from a top-down perspective." They design their own character and navigate through a world containing various weapons and equipment, each with unique abilities. Players engage in combat with adversaries using a combination of attacks, blocks, dodges, and special moves, while also being mindful of their stamina levels.
The movement of characters is influenced by their clothing; lighter attire enables quicker dodging. During battles, focus accumulates and can be used to unleash powerful attacks when fully charged. Players will respawn at specific locations if they are defeated, but the defeated enemies will not come back.
As the players advance, they gather points to enhance their health and strength and are able to try out various playing styles. By completing quests and side tasks, players can evolve the town of Sacrament in the game, earning rewards and the ability to purchase and customize homes.
Discovery reveals concealed riches and resources, and gamers can participate in pursuits such as fishing and agriculture. Once the main story is completed, players can access the "Cerim Crucible" for challenging endgame content, as well as multiplayer modes for cooperative or competitive play.
Development
Moon Studios, a team of 80, crafted the game over six years, starting after Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition. While the full team focused on Ori and the Will of the Wisps, a small group began this project in 2018. They borrowed ideas from Ori games, like connected worlds, and experimented with town management in "Wellspring Glades" from Will of the Wisps. The game runs on a custom Unity engine.
Combat was made to feel intense and strategic, inspired by FromSoftware's games, Monster Hunter, and fighting games. Players need to time their moves based on enemy animations. A stamina system discourages spamming attacks, pushing players to plan their moves. Visually, the game aims for a painterly style, avoiding photorealism for a unique look.
The story draws inspiration from A Song of Ice and Fire and Shakespearean tales, aiming for an epic fantasy saga. Private Division partnered with Moon Studios in July 2020, with plans for releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S after early access.
